Due to the nature of the trip, during which we almost always traveled by public transport or on foot, we were able to immerse ourselves deeply in Japanese life. Of course, we were visitors in Japan, but this allowed us to gain a better sense of the country and its people. Staying with the host family also contributed to this, as they welcomed us warmly, and with the help of translation apps, we had lively conversations throughout the evening and understood each other very well. Our hosts were just as interested in our culture as we were in theirs.

The trip was simply amazing overall! And Ryan, our tour guide, was the perfect companion. He showed us "his" Japan, and it was very authentic. By traveling on public transportation, we experienced the country in a completely different way. Overall, it was a great mix of culture, everyday life, nature (the cherry blossoms were simply wonderful), and sights, with enough time for our own discoveries. Our tour guide also gave us great tips here. I would take this trip again at any time to this fascinating country, which impressed and touched me deeply and represents a special combination of modernity and tradition.
