Our passion

Japan is our passion! Why Japan? Because Japan is a country of contrasts and balance. Japan has managed to evolve between modernity and tradition. Amid sleepless metropolises, picturesque landscapes and cutting-edge technologies, Japan has preserved its simple values. From its snow-capped peaks to its paradisaical beaches, Japan's 7,000 islands invite you to discover great diversity. Balance is also our source of inspiration, as we create our balanced journeys with this in mind.

Francesca is the founder of Japaventura, the first external brand of the group Ventura TRAVEL. She left her Italian hometown that she loves so much 10 years ago to explore the world and embark on new adventures. Since then, she has lived in a host of different cities, from Lisbon to Miami, via Kyoto and Berlin. Her passion for people and new cultures has led her to learn no less than 7 different languages and to travel to around 50 countries. Even though she keeps a strong bond with her hometown in Tuscany, her heart beats for Japan, the place she loves most in the world. When she is not working on the “Japaventura” project, she spends her time in the best restaurants in town, either to practice the foreign languages that she already knows … or not yet, or to discover new recipes, if possible Japanese.

What it means to travel with Japaventura

We show you the most beautiful temples, the best panoramic views, experience the rush of the big cities with you, and get to know the holy mountain Fuji-san. Together we will discover Japan beyond the typical highlights. We also take you behind the scenes and immerse you in the life of the local population. We want you to meet the real Japan, the everyday life of the Japanese! That's why we drink tea with the locals, sleep with a host family, take part in the daily life of the Buddhists of Mount Koya-san, learn calligraphy with Madame Yoko, and explore recipes of the famous Kyoto cuisine! Food occupies a high place in Japanese everyday life and will also on our trips. The Japanese are true masters in the art of preparing culinary delicacies! To give you an impression of Japan's cuisine, we have made a small selection of tasty dishes for your delight.

So why Japan? You should now have a small idea - but only a small idea, because Japan has to be experienced with all your senses! So grab your backpack and let yourself be enchanted by the land of the rising sun!
